Love Life, Hate Kittens

When I’m in Mid City, there is no question on where to eat at night. No I don’t go sleuthing for bar food or settling down at Bossa Nova. I don’t hit up Del Taco or drink my hunger away.

I go to my favorite Taco Truck. El Chato.

Located on the corner of Olympic and La Brea, El Chato serves up the cheapest (a dollar each) and tastiest tacos in town. Having a variety of meats such as asada, pastor, buche, lengua, cabeza, chicken, chorizo and the newly added tripas, you are in meaty heaven. My personal favorites are cabeza, buche, and tripas - with no sauce cuz I’m a spice wuss. I’ve tried the asada quesadilla a couple times. It’s good but I rather get a Taco Bell Chicken Quesadilla - but to give El Chato credit, I love processed chicken and cheese. I dare you to get a Taco Bell quesadilla and say its not good. I DARE YOU.

Anyways. Along with your tacos, they give you a huge foil packet of grilled onions to go along with your tasty meal. I doubt you can get this much satisfaction for a couple bucks.

And it REALLY doesn’t help that the guy that works there is really cute. Like super cute. He probably thinks I’m stalking him :-/

Cuz seriously why else would I inhale five tacos at midnight four times a week on average?
