Love Life, Hate Kittens

I love men. I love men who love sports. Put me in a sports bar with my favorite boy and I’m in heaven. Put me in a pub with 100s of boys who are insanely passionate about sports….omg. sensory overload.

You would not believe how pack Ye Olde King’s Head was today. It was so packed that it took me 20 minutes to find parking because all the lots nearby were full (typically you should park on the lot on 2nd) and when I got there they wouldn’t let anyone in because it was at max capacity!

Fortunately my party rescued me and the door man shook his head in frustration and let me in. My food was already waiting for me when I got there (thank you) and the waitress was nice enough to tell me my soup was cold and she’d bring me another bowl. How nice is that? Considering that it was like a sardine can in there, I’m sure there’s other things she could be doing than worry about my soup.

I got the bangers and mash which was excellent albeit cold (she offered to reheat this dish but warm is fine with me. I’m hungry). Three huge delectable meaty sausages thick like hot links, served with peas and mash potatos. Portions are so huge that I only got through 2 1/2 sausages and a quarter of my mash. Note to self: Mash potatoes are not good cold.

The atmosphere of the pub was awesome. I mean, I cannot say that I’m a sports fan for the sport but I love watching games because of the general buzzing energy around the room. It’s fun. It makes me happy. Yes, simple things delight the shit out of me. Balloons, bubbles, ice cream - I am a honorary retard.
